Lead Preconstruction Manager
to head our pre-construction initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll engage with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to ensure bids are not only precise but also competitive. Your expertise in analyzing project plans, specifications, and key documents will be essential in accurately evaluating project costs. Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly review and analyze project documentation to grasp all project requirements comprehensively. Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and create meticulous cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to achieve competitive pricing. Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, architects, and team members to uncover value engineering opportunities. Craft and present comprehensive, competitive bid proposals to clients. Participate in pre-bid meetings and carry out site visits as necessary. Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and industry best practices. Exhibit a strong understanding of project schedules and deadlines. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Demonstrated experience as a Construction Estimator with a proven track record of winning competitive projects. Extensive knowledge of civil construction processes, materials, and methods. Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
