As the Social Media Manager Intern for Mercy Hill Worship, you will be responsible for capturing, creating, and managing digital content that communicates the heart, culture, and mission of Mercy Hill Worship. This role supports worship ministry visibility and
engagement through strategic content creation, scheduling, and trend-aware marketing execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Content Capture & Creation
Capture photo and video content during worship services, rehearsals, events, and special moments. Edit video content (short-form and long-form) for social platforms. Create graphics, captions, and basic visual assets as needed. Maintain a consistent visual and tonal brand for Mercy Hill Worship. Scheduling & Publishing
Schedule posts across social platforms using approved scheduling tools. Maintain a content calendar in collaboration with worship leadership. Ensure timely posting aligned with services, events, and campaigns. Strategy & Research
Research current social media trends, platform updates, and best practices. Assist in developing content ideas and marketing strategies to increase reach and engagement. Track basic performance metrics and report insights to leadership. Coordination & Communication
Collaborate with the Worship Director and Worship Associate Director - MD to align content with ministry priorities. Communicate upcoming content needs, shoot schedules, and campaign timelines clearly.
*This internship is an unpaid, 12 hour per week, 6-month learning opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience.

Essential job function: Duties [1] through [4] are designated as ADA essential functions and must be performed in this job. All other job duties are secondary functions.
1. Ability to continuously stand, sit, and/or walk.
2. Ability to bend, climb stairs, and/or lift occasionally.
3. Ability to lift 5 to 30 pounds occasionally.
4. Ability to squat occasionally.
5. Ability to communicate continuously with other people.
6. Ability to operate computers continuously in order to complete necessary o?ce work.
7. Ability to frequently comprehend physical and/or digital documents and frequently prepare physical and/or digital documents.
Work Environment
1. May occasionally work in temperatures above 95 degrees and below 32 degrees.
2. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
3. Noise level in the environment is frequently loud.
4. May occasionally work outdoors.
5. May continuously work indoors within closed o?ce spaces.
