A well‑established commercial general contractor in Miami is seeking a driven and detail‑oriented
Assistant Superintendent
to support field operations across a variety of commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their field‑leadership career who wants to grow into a full Superintendent position.
Role Summary The Assistant Superintendent will help manage daily jobsite activities, coordinate subcontractors, support schedule execution, and ensure safety and quality standards are upheld. This position works closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to keep projects running smoothly, on time, and in alignment with company standards.
Key Responsibilities Support the Superintendent with day‑to‑day on‑site operations and subcontractor coordination. Assist with jobsite safety walks, toolbox talks, and maintaining required documentation. Help oversee workmanship quality and verify work against plans and specifications. Monitor site logistics, deliveries, equipment, and materials. Update daily reports, logs, and progress tracking tools. Communicate with field teams, vendors, and project stakeholders as needed. Participate in resolving field issues and identifying conflicts early. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Qualifications 1–5 years of experience
in commercial construction (field experience preferred). Previous exposure to commercial projects such as offices, retail, industrial, hospitality, or healthcare. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, drawings, and basic trade coordination. Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors and field teams. OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred). Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required.
