We have partnered with a leading independent flavor manufacturer to recruit for a Midwest Account Manager – Flavors (Chicago-based). This commercial role is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships across the Midwest, supporting food and beverage manufacturers with customized flavor solutions.
As Midwest Account Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers in the region, combining strong relationship management with new business development. You’ll work closely with applications, R&D, and operations teams to deliver responsive, customer-led flavor innovation.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, or a related discipline. 3–8+ years of sales or account management experience within the flavors or food ingredients industry. Strong understanding of flavor applications across food and beverage categories. Proven ability to manage key accounts while driving incremental growth. Experience covering multi-state territories, ideally within the Midwest. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-facing skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of food and beverage customers across the Midwest region. Develop new business opportunities with emerging and established manufacturers. Partner with applications and R&D teams to support customer briefs, trials, and commercialization. Lead pricing discussions, account planning, and commercial negotiations. Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and market intelligence. Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows, and regional industry events.
