
Real Estate Transactional Paralegal at Law Firm in Flatiron (Hybrid) (New York)

Our client, a reputable Law Firm based in flatiron, is looking for a Real Estate transactional Paralegal to engage primarily on commercial, publicly financed real estate development and recapitalization projects, including the acquisition, construction and permanent financing, joint ventures, equity investments and sale/repositioning of existing multifamily and mixed-use housing primarily throughout New York City. This role is in office 4x/ week.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to fully engage in project details Prepare signature page packets, inventory signature pages, assemble final documentation for closing and maintain checklists Monitor contract timeframes and deliverables Form corporate entities and prepare operating documentation, consents and certificates Apply for employee identification numbers Prepare applications for real estate and income tax exemptions Organizing, proofreading and reviewing documents Keeps updated checklists and trackers for closing deliverables and signature pages Review, comment, and clear title reports; review title exceptions and survey matters; interface with title companies and surveyors Ad hoc tasks as requested
REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience as a transactional real estate paralegal, preferably specialized in commercial properties and financing Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills Superior analytical and reasoning abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to obtain license as Notary Public Always maintain confidentiality Familiarity with law office procedures, law office technology and legal terminology Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or Paralegal certificate / related experience
SALARY $120-$140K (DOE) + FULLY paid Benefits + Discretionary Bonus Opportunity + 401K + Profit sharing + Great PTO
HOURS 9:00/9:30am-5:30pm (DOE) + Flexibility if needed
