As a Communications and Advocacy Intern, you will collaborate with the Director of Global Operations. This is an unpaid internship, but opportunities for academic credit are available. We offer two internship options: (i) full-time, requiring a commitment of 5 days (40 hours) a week for 3 months, or (ii) part-time, requiring 3 to 4 days (20 hours) a week for 6 months. Your responsibilities may encompass one or more of the following:
Researching and creating engaging content for various communications platforms to support the organization's external communications and public relations.
Assisting with copywriting, graphic design, and content curation for social media channels, the website, and blogs to enhance visibility of our projects and activities.
Contributing to the organization's branding by helping implement social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
Supporting external communications initiatives to broaden the organization’s online reach by working with local, national, and international journalists to facilitate media coverage.
Assisting with documentation through video and photography.
Requirements:
Completed Bachelor's degree in any field prior to the internship start date.
Highly organized, reliable, and self-motivated.
Responsive and helpful, especially when addressing ad-hoc support requests.
Creative and resourceful, with a knack for problem-solving.
Exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
A curious and bold mindset, eager to contribute new ideas.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.
Openness to feedback, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a remote working environment.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Applications.
A passion for making a positive impact.
