Commercial Construction Estimator or Senior Level Estimator

We are in search of a dedicated Commercial Estimator or Senior Estimator with hands-on general contracting experience who can enhance our competitive pursuits and foster collaborative preconstruction initiatives. This position is unique as it focuses solely on the general contractor's perspective, ensuring candidates with experience from this viewpoint will find the most success. What You'll Do Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for various commercial construction projects. Lead or assist in preconstruction and bid strategy development. Conduct quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and subcontractor evaluations. Work collaboratively with operations, leadership, and design teams. Assess drawings, specifications, and constructability. Engage in value engineering and cost optimization efforts. (Senior level) Guide junior estimators and contribute to pursuit strategy. What We're Looking For Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience within a commercial general contracting environment (Senior Estimator candidates typically bring 8-10+ years). Demonstrated success in estimating commercial construction projects. Deep understanding of full-scope estimating and preconstruction processes. Experience with conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimation approaches. Able to navigate diverse project types and sizes. Exceptional communication and collaboration capabilities. Preferred Experience Knowledge in commercial sectors such as office, healthcare, hospitality, retail, industrial, or mixed-use. Leadership experience in preconstruction or pursuit management (Senior level). Familiarity with contemporary estimating software and takeoff tools.
