Key Responsibilities As a Conservation Campaign Associate, you will empower solutions in Virginia that conserve special places and combat pollution. This role requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage impactful projects. Foster Collaborative Partnerships:

Connect with diverse organizations and communities to rally support for our campaign initiatives. Engage Media Outreach:

Organize press events, write compelling opinion pieces, and cultivate a social media presence to amplify our message. Coordinate Events and Volunteer Engagement:

Plan webinars, community gatherings, and public forums while recruiting community members and organizations to actively participate. Advocate with Decision Makers:

Meet with elected officials at various levels to advocate for our campaign priorities, showcasing the grassroots support we’ve built. Conduct Research and Report Writing:

Gather, analyze, and report data relevant to our policies to influence public discourse and garner media attention. Grow Your Campaign Team:

Expand your team by recruiting passionate volunteers, interns, and future staff members. Manage a Summer Campaign Office:

Lead a campaign office during the summer focusing on grassroots fundraising, building membership, and supporting crucial campaign efforts. Flexibility in relocation may be required. Qualifications We welcome entry-level candidates! While you will take ownership of your campaign, we offer comprehensive training in advocacy and organizing, along with guidance from experienced professionals. Candidates should either reside in or be willing to relocate to Virginia. Ideal candidates will possess: A strong passion for environmental advocacy and grassroots organizing Leadership abilities Exceptional writing and public speaking skills Effective listening capabilities A willingness to learn and grow Experience in organizing campus or community initiatives Compensation and Benefits The expected salary for this entry-level position ranges from $38,250 to $39,500 in the first year.
