Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Heavy Civil Estimator, where your expertise will play a crucial role in the successful preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale heavy civil construction projects. This key position is vital in preconstruction planning and bid development across various civil scopes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents meticulously.
Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and accurately price labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Create and review bid proposals along with comprehensive supporting documentation.
Work closely with project managers, operations teams, and leadership throughout the bidding process to ensure alignment.
Assess project risks and explore strategies for cost savings.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating heavy civil construction projects.
Proven track record in areas such as structures, concrete paving, heavy highway, and related civil works.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and industry practices.
Experience with HCSS HeavyBid software is highly desirable.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
