Anderson University’s Center for Student Success invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Assistant Director. The Assistant Director for the Center for Student Success serves as a key resource in supporting accessibility services and provides leadership for designated academic support initiatives within the Center for Student Success. Working closely with the Dean and Director, this position assists with student accommodations, including preparing accommodation letters, communicating with faculty, and meeting with students and parents to address academic and accessibility concerns with care and professionalism. The Assistant Director also provides personalized, one-on-one support to students, offering guidance and connecting them with campus resources to help them successfully navigate their college journey. Additionally, the Assistant Director oversees the Tutoring Lab by hiring and training tutors, promoting services, and managing the day-to-day operations of the program. This role also develops and facilitates student success seminars (CEPs), including accessibility-related CEP’s, manages the Center’s social media presence, assists with the University’s Care Team, including case management and related processes, and partners with the Vocational Rehabilitation Program during their client interview process. Essential administrative responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to thorough documentation, record-keeping and reporting, as well as representing the Center for Student Success across campus and participating in University events.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a master’s degree in student affairs, counseling, special education or related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in a related field with prior work experience in academic support or accessibility services is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, learning management software, and student information software (Workday). A high level of discretion, the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, while embracing the Christ-centered mission of Anderson University and effectively serving a diverse student population with warmth, excellence, and a heart for student success is essential.
