In this role, you will take charge of reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, and pricing every element of the project by thoroughly analyzing construction documents. You will leverage your industry experience to formulate cost estimates that accurately reflect local market conditions. Candidates with structural concrete expertise will be given special consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare precise quantity takeoffs and pricing for all project components.
Organize and contribute to the overall bid and proposal process.
Assess various trade disciplines through comprehensive reading and quantifying of construction documents.
Estimate overhead components and utilize current and historical market pricing to inform unit pricing across multiple trades.
Conduct macro-scale comparisons of system trades, including structural, mechanical, and foundation systems.
Execute rapid conceptual estimates with minimal design, adjusting the level of detail for different stakeholders while employing program square footage costs.
