Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence, closing, and post‑closing activities for real‑estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leasehold transactions.
Conduct research on legal issues related to real property, financing, debt, equity, and foreclosure.
Prepare and review legal documents such as deeds, leases, purchase agreements, easements, and other documents related to real estate.
Coordinate and manage the closing process for various real‑estate transactions, ensuring all necessary documents are in order.
Provide notary services as necessary.
Organize and maintain files and databases to ensure easy retrieval of information.
Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.
Stay updated on changes in real‑estate law and inform the team of any significant changes that may affect current or future transactions.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
A Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
Extensive knowledge of real‑estate law, including real property, financing, debt, equity, and foreclosure.
Proven experience in handling complex real‑estate transactions.
Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Notary certification is preferred.
