
McMichael & Gray, P.C. is a multi-state real estate law firm and is seeking an attorney to handle land acquisitions, title due diligence, closings, and related real estate matters in its Duluth, Georgia office. Open to licensed attorneys at all experience levels (newly licensed through experienced).
Key Responsibilities
Review title examinations to identify defects and recommend curative steps and prepare title commitments
Prepare, review, and negotiate purchase & sale agreements, deeds, easements, options, and closing documents
Manage closings; coordinate with title companies, lenders, surveyors, escrow agents, brokers and internal teams
Advise on easements, surveys, zoning/land‑use implications and environmental title issues as needed
Maintain transaction files, track deadlines and report status to stakeholders
Support senior attorneys (for entry-level hires) with research, due diligence and document drafting
Required Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and current Georgia bar admission
Strong written/verbal communication, attention to detail, and organization
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
Comfortable working with title companies, lenders and third‑party vendors
Preferred Qualifications
1–5+ years’ experience in real estate acquisitions, title insurance, or closing practice
Familiarity with ALTA title policies, curative strategies, survey interpretation, and recording requirements
Experience negotiating PSAs and real estate documents
