
Lead Bartender at Rustic Root Solana

Position Summary: Responsible for providing friendly, responsive service, creating unforgettable moments, providing an exceptional experience. The Lead Bartender's primary focus is to oversee the bar staff and make sure everyone is following our policies and procedures and steps of service. Working as a team to go above and beyond expectations.

Pay scale $18.75-$18.75/hr + tips
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform opening and closing duties
Perform all duties of a bartender
Lead by example and keep the bar clean, neat, and organized always
Responsible for all aspects of Toast POS system
Execute all liquor orders, liquor inventory, and miscellaneous bar supplies orders.
Ensure customer service and drink consistency (ex. napkins down, correct pour count)
Responsible for improving bar efficiency
Develop and train bartenders
Support and help implement corporate beverage programs
Coordinate with the General Manager on monthly liquor inventory
Check out other bartenders to ensure the nightly cleaning responsibilities are being done properly and Toast cash-outs are correct
Assist and perform all duties assigned by the General Manager
Check in liquor orders and sign off invoices, notify General Manager of any discrepancies, delivery issues, wrong orders, or significant price changes
Give pour tests and keep records of results
Work with General Manager to plan quarterly bar deep cleaning sessions and staff meetings
Critique and provide valuable leadership and information regarding bartender mechanics and overall skills
Required License/Qualifications
Minimum of 2-years’ experience as a server
Knowledge of POS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills and Attitudes
Must be motivated, hardworking, and passionate.
Superior verbal skills are a MUST

Work Environment

The employee may be exposed to the risks associated with attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests.
Work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
San Diego County Food Handlers Card (must be turned in within 30 days of employment).
Anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour class.
RBS – Responsible Alcohol Service (must be turned in when training concludes)
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly.
Must be able to bend, stoop and climb.
Must be able to push and pull.
