
Position Overview
The Sales Order Administrator plays a key role in revenue operations by overseeing the intake, validation, and routing of all customer orders. This highly visible position acts as the central point of coordination for order booking and sales credit allocation. The individual in this role ensures incoming orders are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies before processing. Key Responsibilities
Support a high-volume Sales organization by processing and booking customer orders, including standard purchases, evaluations, demonstrations, and equipment loan agreements. Review incoming documentation to confirm completeness, pricing accuracy, and policy compliance. Partner closely with Sales to ensure transactions meet internal booking standards and revenue recognition requirements. Examine quotes, purchase orders, discount approvals, and contractual agreements for accuracy and alignment with company policies. Ensure maintenance and support agreements are correctly established within enterprise systems (Oracle experience preferred). Flag and escalate any non-standard terms, exceptions, or deviations from established procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Finance, Legal, Logistics, Customer Support, Marketing Operations, and Product Management — to resolve order-related discrepancies. Serve as the operational point of contact for an assigned sales region, while also providing backup support across territories as business needs require. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the customer and partner experience. Coordinate timely communication with Renewal Representatives regarding relevant transactions. Initiate and manage workflow processes within Salesforce and related systems. Contribute to special initiatives and cross-departmental projects as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Order Management, or Sales Administration. Working knowledge of enterprise systems such as Oracle or similar database platforms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and in a team-oriented environment. Highly detail-focused with a commitment to operational excellence. The base salary range for this full-time U.S. position is $52,000–$73,000 annually. Compensation within this range is determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
