Hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist for Queens/Brooklyn!

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Phlebotomist with a minimum of 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate is proficient with both butterfly and straight needles and will primarily work with the geriatric population, utilizing numerous butterfly needles. Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates must have a car to travel across various locations in the Bronx. Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data. Decontaminate and update patient information as required. Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients. Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by the test order. Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy. Package specimens for transport. Store specimen samples according to required temperature and protocols to maintain specimen integrity. Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong proficiency in blood draw and venipuncture techniques. MUST HAVE a Vehicle Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with specimen collection and handling. Ability to perform mock blood draws during the second round of the onsite interview process. Work Environment

The position involves covering locations in Brooklyn and Queens, with a responsibility to float to various sites as needed. The phlebotomist will see up to 15 patients daily. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm, with no weekend shifts. All tolls, parking, and mileage between stops are reimbursed. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmhurst, NY. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
