
Director, Operations Analytics

About The Role
As the Director, Operations Analytics, you will deliver insights using quantitative data to support our operations business at The RealReal. You will work closely with senior leaders and executives in inventory, logistics, retail, and customer services within the ops org, and partner with tech and finance teams across nearly all aspects of our growing business. You will collaborate with operations analysts to understand, measure, and optimize efficiency, provide clarity of business performance, identify growth opportunities, and drive alignment to focus on the most impactful areas for our company. This role requires hands‑on experience and the ability to design, guide, and complete enterprise‑scale and strategic analyses.
What You Get To Do Everyday
- Align with business partners to design and maintain an analytics roadmap and milestones.
- Understand and quantify operational efficiency metrics.
- Become the knowledge center. Manage a learning agenda to identify and gather relevant data, accumulate insights, and provide recommendations for operational excellence.
- Design, implement, and report on item data throughout receiving, authentication, launch, and outbound flow.
- Support operation strategy by providing relevant and high‑quality insights.
- Partner with business owners to ensure implementation of strategy and track progress.
- Provide key product health measurements and reporting to support the business on a daily basis.
- Communicate product insights to business partner teams and leadership.
- Partner with other internal analytics teams to create a streamlined and consolidated analytics.
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of analytics experience
- 5+ years of people‑management experience
- Expert in SQL
- 5+ years of experience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Looker, etc.
- Expert in translating between practical problems and technical formulations and solutions
- Proven ability to design and implement time‑sensitive strategic projects involving methodology development, analysis, strategic recommendations, and presentation of findings
- Proven track record of thriving with ambiguity
- Ability to travel up to 5%

- eCommerce or logistics industry experience preferred

The expected salary range for this role is $190,000.00–$210,000.00. Starting pay is determined by work location, candidate skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Salary is one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
