Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varied/per-diem schedule, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
• Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to the clinical team promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Build warm, trusting relationships with residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (or state-equivalent certification) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working night shifts and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and ADL assistance
• Skillful in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Good observational skills to identify changes in condition
• Clear communication skills for collaborating with the care team and families
• Familiarity with documentation practices in a clinical setting
