Call Center Representative (Loans)
Call Center / Borrower Advocate role with a healthy company that assists educational institutions manage past due loans and educates loan borrowers on payment plans, loan default prevention, obligations etc. Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm, temp with possible potential for permanency. 1st 6 weeks of training required IN PERSON at Austin office, thereafter, it is REMOTE / WFH. $19-$21 per hour DOE + benefits through Elwood. Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including: Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plans Weekly Pay Call Center Representative (loans) Details: Contract position $ 19.00 to $ 21.00 / hour First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm) Call center role, outbound calls using a dialer system. Identify responsible parties by telephone and inform on the status of student loans. Educate borrowers and co-borrowers about their payment obligation and possible repayment solutions. Convey the consequences of non-payment to borrowers and co-borrowers. Create financial, administrative, and maintenance transactions. Actively assist and educate borrowers on how to resolve delinquencies and prevent default. Identify reason(s) for delinquency. Trace non-responsive borrowers by investigating possible phone numbers and addresses. Support research and resolution of responsibility disputes. Support borrower and co-borrower service requests. Use the highest standards of professional ethics and courtesy at all times. Call Center Representative (loans) Qualifications: 2+ years of call center or collections experience using a Dialer system. Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Some banking, student loan or credit experience helpful. High School diploma required.
