Role Description This is a part-time Funeral Home Assistant role with hybrid working arrangements, based in Rockford, IL. This position entails supporting funeral home operations, assisting with preparations for ceremonies, and providing compassionate and reliable assistance to grieving families. Duties also include maintaining the organization and cleanliness within the funeral home and ensuring seamless service delivery that respects the specific wishes of each family.
Qualifications
Strong listening and interpersonal communication skills to empathize and build connections with grieving families
Ability to adapt easily in changing or sensitive environments
Organizational skills for managing tasks, schedules, and event preparations
Compassionate demeanor and commitment to providing sensitive, respectful support
Flexibility to work a variable part-time schedule, including some evenings and weekends
Knowledge of funeral services and ceremonies is a plus but not required
