Job Description: Entry‑Level Accounting Clerk
We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team. This entry‑level role is ideal for someone beginning their accounting career who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting a busy finance department. You’ll assist with daily accounting tasks, maintain accurate records, and help ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Prepare and maintain financial documents, spreadsheets, and reports
Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly closing activities
Verify accuracy of invoices, receipts, and other financial data
Enter data into accounting software and update internal databases
Support audits by organizing and providing requested documentation
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams as needed
Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and document management
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time‑management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills
