TriNetX is seeking an experienced
C
ontract UI/UX Designer to support and extend our UI/UX Design team as we scale globally. This project is ideal for a senior freelancer who can work independently, quickly interpret complex design requirements, and deliver high-quality, implementation-ready designs. This is an ongoing contract engagement of up to ~20 hours per week , with the potential for continued work based on performance and project needs. Project Scope
You will partner closely with internal design and engineering teams to support multiple product initiatives. Responsibilities include: Design, maintain, and scale reusable UI components within TriNetX’s Figma design library, ensuring consistency across states, variants, and edge cases Evolve and maintain the design system, including component architecture, variants, and design tokens Prepare UI designs for efficient engineering hand-off Collaborate within Agile product development workflows Required Expertise
Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems and shared libraries Strong component design skills with a clear understanding of implementation impact (states, variants, edge cases) Proven experience building and maintaining design systems Working knowledge of Agile processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) Experience with Figma prototyping and design system management Ability to independently interpret, clarify, and execute on complex design requests Portfolio demonstrating relevant UI/UX and design system work Nice to Have
Experience with Figma Make Familiarity with component libraries such as Tailwind Knowledge of ARIA / WCAG accessibility best practices Strong understanding of design-to-engineering workflows Contract / freelance engagement (1099 only) TriNetX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
