Use pricing science to deliver on our pricing strategies. Forecast the financial impact of pricing decisions and present value measurement reporting on the actual ROI realized from the decisions. Use price optimization software to ensure items are priced in accordance with the respective category role and its role within the category. Maintain and improve Harris Teeter’s price image by monitoring competitor prices on key items. Audit the quality of our competitive data feed. Perform regular HQPM maintenance (audits, cost/retail associations, ad groups, etc.). Assist associates with HQPM procedures and corrections.

What You’ll Do

Model suggested retail changes by category and forecast the impact of the changes on sales, units, and profit.

Provide value measurement reporting after retail changes have been implemented showing how actual results compare to the initial forecasts.

Provide pricing reports for internal customers including margin reporting, competitive price comparisons, category reviews, and price change reports.

Audit the quality of our competitive data by conducting regular reviews against actual in-store or online pricing.

Maintain Harris Teeter’s price image. Conduct regular reviews of our pricing on key items against competitors.

Identify and maintain WIC items and retails by state, this includes any reporting requested by the state WIC office.

Assist with weekly price maintenance activities including working with the category managers to review category pricing, auditing files to ensure accuracy, maintaining spread and parity on sizes within brands, spread on national brand versus private label, executing the necessary changes in HQPM and within our price optimization tools.

Prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adapt to various situations and multiple shifting priorities effectively.

Retrieve, organize and present data.

Visit Harris Teeter and competitor stores on a regular basis.

Gain advanced proficiency and thorough understanding of our HQPM (Headquarters Price/Merchandise Manager) system to include system data entry, error detection and correction, attaining a knowledge level to assist the general users in the proper procedures for correctly inputting into the system. Assist other associates by providing training and support for HQPM.

Gain advanced proficiency in our price optimization software.

Model the impact of vendor cost changes and update HT retails as and when required.

What You Bring

Required: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred: Master’s Degree (MBA OR MS). Use and understanding of the enterprise business intelligence (BI) applications.
