RN Director of Wellness (Security) Join Our Team as a Director of Wellness! Are you a passionate clinical leader who thrives on promoting resident wellness, staff development, and holistic care? Dimensions Living Wausau is looking for a Director of Wellness to lead our care team and help ensure a high standard of resident-centered health and wellness. What You’ll Do Lead Resident Wellness: Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate all clinical and wellness services provided in the community. Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and medication management to promote optimal health outcomes. Champion a proactive approach to resident care that supports independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Inspire & Develop a Strong Team: Hire, train, and mentor wellness staff including nurses and caregivers. Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Lead with empathy, encouraging continued learning and professional development.
Ensure Clinical Compliance: Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and uphold compliance with state and federal requirements. Monitor clinical documentation, incident reports, and follow up on care-related issues. Partner with pharmacy consultants, physicians, and external agencies to support resident needs.
Collaborate for Holistic Care: Work closely with the Executive Director and department leaders to align clinical services with community goals. Participate in care conferences, family meetings, and community activities. Help create an environment where wellness is woven into every aspect of daily life.
Support Residents & Families: Be a resource, advocate, and point of contact for residents and their loved ones. Promote programs and initiatives that address the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents.
What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Clinical Expertise) Education & Licensure: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current RN or LPN license in the state of employment. CPR certification and knowledge of best practices in infection control and senior wellness.
Experience & Leadership: At least 2 years of nursing leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, or memory care preferred. Skilled in team management, training, and performance improvement.
Skills & Competencies: Working knowledge of state healthcare regulations and wellness program development. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.
