Rental Boiler and Hot Water Sales Professional ** This position is currently based in Louisville, KY. The company, and the position, will be relocating to New Albany, IN, in late summer 2026. **

WARE is seeking a driven, customer-focused

Rental Boiler and Hot Water Sales professional

to drive sales for rental boiler projects and related steam and hot water equipment. This role is ideal for a technically skilled sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency service environment and is passionate about delivering responsive, solution-oriented service.

In addition to supporting rental boiler sales, this position will play a key leadership role in building and expanding WARE’s Hot Water Rental customer base across the country. The successful candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy and business plan to grow the Hot Water Rental market, establish regional coverage, and build long‑term contractor and building manager relationships.

You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to customers—quickly assessing needs, developing practical solutions, and executing projects with precision and urgency—while helping scale a national rental platform.

Lead the development and execution of a national growth strategy for the Hot Water Rental market

Develop a structured business plan to establish regional depots and strengthen nationwide coverage

Travel approximately one week per month on average to visit customers, develop new business, and support depot expansion

Bring a growth-oriented vision—focused on building long-term customer relationships, expanding market presence, and creating scalable solutions, not just selling products

Respond promptly to rental boiler and hot water inquiries via phone and email, delivering accurate quotes and exceptional service

Evaluate steam and hydronic system requirements to recommend optimal equipment solutions

Assist customers with piping sizing, flow analysis, and equipment layout

Conduct site visits to define installation scope and develop detailed proposals

Coordinate inbound and outbound freight logistics for rental equipment

Collaborate cross-functionally with service, shop, and accounting teams to ensure seamless project execution

Maintain detailed customer interaction records within CRM/database systems

Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency response needs

Support additional sales and operational initiatives as needed

What You Bring Experience & Technical Expertise

2+ years of rental sales experience in the boiler and hot water industry

Demonstrated ability to build and grow customer accounts or territories

Strong technical knowledge of boilers, steam and hydronic systems, and combustion equipment

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and technical documentation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Confined space entry, safety, boiler inspection, and computer training

Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute market growth plans

Exceptional customer service mindset with a commitment to exceeding expectations

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills (algebra & geometry)

Ability to develop clear, professional proposals and technical documentation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Adaptable, resourceful, and responsive under pressure

Team-oriented with the ability to work independently

Requirements

2+ years rental sales experience in the boiler and hot water industry

Boiler technical experience a must

Superb customer service skills with a desire to exceed expectations

Exceptional problem‑solving, reasoning and analytical skills

Ability to develop clear and effective written proposals, quotations, reports, and procedure manuals

Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships internally and externally

Ability to communicate with customers effectively and professionally, team members, leadership, and the public

Strong analytical skills with ability to read, interpret and synthesize general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, government regulations, and mechanical and piping drawings

Superb mathematical skills, with ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry

Exceptional organizational skills that reflect proven ability to work independently while keeping a team‑player mentality

Highly resourceful, with ability to multi‑task and own the details, while also maintaining a big‑picture mentality

Confined space entry, safety, boiler inspection and computer training a must
