CBS News Colorado is currently seeking a Morning News Producer who has a passion for breaking news and serving the community. A smart, creative, and self-starter mentality will ensure success. We are looking for a producer who enjoys breaking molds and trying new things. This position includes anticipating the needs of news, traffic, and First Alert Weather coverage. You will be a leader in the overnight and morning hours during an important time period for our viewers. Responsibilities
Closely coordinates with the Executive Producer during live news programs; may have editorial decision-making for breaking news coverage in communication with Management and the technical team, when applicable. Writes content and edits video for live broadcasts while working with video editors. Helps run, optimize, and time live newscasts. Manages content and brings direction to the newscast overnight. Creates content with new stories throughout the night with available elements and resources. Basic Qualifications
3+ years of TV news producing experience Excellent news judgment and journalistic standards Additional Qualifications
Time Management skills and works well in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines Must feel comfortable in a fast-paced control room Strong writing skills, accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail is a must What We Offer
