Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design efforts for new product development from concept through production release
Create detailed 3D models and production drawings using SolidWorks
Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies
Apply DFX (Design for Excellence/Manufacturability) principles to ensure cost-effective and efficient production
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes including sheet metal, castings, injection molding, extrusion, machining, paint & powder coating, PCBA, and assembly
Develop prototypes using traditional and additive manufacturing methods
Interface directly with customers to clarify requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback
Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure successful product launches
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Associate of Science degree in Drafting, Product Design, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong SolidWorks proficiency
Hands‑on experience with sheet metal design
Experience supporting new product development from concept to completion
Knowledge of DFX principles for precision manufacturing materials and processes
Working knowledge of additive manufacturing
