Now Hiring: MiTek Truss Designer (Full-Time | On-Site). We are a strong, well-established component manufacturer ready to add a high-level Truss Designer to our team. This is not an entry-level drafting role. It is for someone who understands production, code compliance, timelines, and how design decisions impact the plant floor and the jobsite. If you take pride in clean layouts, accurate placements, and protecting margins through smart design, keep reading.
Responsibilities
Designing accurate roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software
Producing complete Truss Placement Plans and engineered design drawings
Reviewing architectural and structural plans and catching issues before they become problems
Working directly with sales, production, architects, engineers, and field teams
Assisting with repairs, field fixes, and value-engineered solutions
Ensuring all designs meet building codes, safety standards, and project specs
Supporting a fast-paced production environment where deadlines matter
What I'm Looking For
3-5+ years of truss design experience
Strong proficiency in MiTek (required - non-negotiable)
Solid understanding of construction methods and engineered wood products
Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints
Strong communication skills - you'll interact with multiple stakeholders
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
