Nurse Director of Emergency Services
on behalf of a respected community hospital in Chicago, IL. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced nursing professional to oversee emergency department operations and drive excellence in patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance. The Nurse Director will lead the Emergency Services department, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and compliant care delivery in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader with strong nursing administration experience. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise nursing staff within the Emergency Department Oversee daily operations, staffing, and shift management Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and regulatory standards Review medical records for documentation accuracy and completeness Manage and optimize EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes Ensure ongoing staff training on protocols and system updates Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in
acute care or emergency settings Strong background in nursing administration and team supervision Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred) Deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to emergency care Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments Experience in assisted living, home health, hospice, or nursing home settings is a plus Benefits
Competitive salary:
