This role is ideal for a seasoned CRE professional with deep market expertise, strong borrower and broker relationships, and the ability to independently originate and manage a high-quality commercial real estate portfolio. Key Responsibilities
Originate, structure, and close commercial real estate loans across target markets
Develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, developers, brokers, and key COIs
Independently source new CRE opportunities through networking and market presence
Analyze credit risk, prepare loan presentations, and partner with underwriting through approval
Represent the bank through community involvement and industry engagement
Ensure adherence to all internal credit policies and regulatory requirements
Manage portfolio performance with a focus on asset quality and long-term client relationships
Qualifications
Extensive experience in commercial lending with a strong focus on CRE
Must produce 30 MM a year in loans
Proven success originating CRE loans New York markets
Established borrower, broker, and referral network
Formal credit training with hands-on structuring and underwriting experience
Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive production
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
High ethical standards and a self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
Experience supporting production levels consistent with senior CRE lender expectations
