
Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Account Executive to manage and grow their Walmart account (Account is an existing account). This role will serve as a key liaison between Walmart, overseas partners, and cross‑functional teams with the goal of ensuring seamless execution from product development through delivery. The ideal candidate has strong apparel industry experience, experience with Walmart systems and processes, and the ability to take ownership of account management responsibilities.
The salary range for this role is $80-90,000 plus bonus.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for Walmart, managing communications, timelines, and deliverables.
Partner with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure product development and execution meet Walmart requirements.
Manage item setup and product submissions through Walmart’s systems (Retail Link, Scintilla, Supplier One, AEX process).
Prepare and deliver sales materials, proposals, and presentations tailored to Walmart’s needs.
Monitor weekly sales and benchmark reports, analyze performance, and provide actionable insights to drive the business.
Conduct competitive market research (in‑store and online) and present trend and performance findings to leadership.
Oversee product approvals (fits, construction, trims, colors) and ensure timely follow‑up with buyers and internal teams.
Coordinate with overseas factories on costing, production timelines, and delivery schedules to ensure on‑time shipments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to orders, production, and delivery in collaboration with suppliers and merchants.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records including sales order books, sample logs, and production tracking.
Lead preparation for key meetings and market appointments, including showroom setup and presentation materials.
Collaborate with finance, logistics, and operations teams to align forecasts, purchase orders, and margin objectives.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or merchandising (apparel experience strongly preferred).
Must have Direct experience working with Walmart required, including systems knowledge (Retail Link, Item Setup, Supplier Quotes, AEX).
Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
