What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales opportunities within the assigned territory
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs and drive incremental revenue
Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, acting as a trusted advisor
Effectively manage territory activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and sales forecasting
Stay informed about industry trends and gather customer feedback to inform sales strategies
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of two (2) years of proven successful sales experience in telephone sales, personal selling, and customer service
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation skills, and closing strategies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for customer relationship building
Proficiency with MS Office software and CRM technology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in educational sales or services
Familiarity with the Scholastic Book Fairs model or similar programs
Strong interpersonal skills with peers and customers
Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
Skills in utilizing telecommuting software such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
