We are seeking an ambitious candidate who is fluent in AutoCAD and able to produce drawings under tight time constraints. The candidate should know how to prepare drawings derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches, and utilize computer aided drafting software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. A CAD Drafter should be able to coordinate and consult with engineers or designers to complete projects. The position requires the ability to follow written directions for house placement, dimensioning, and labeling using architecture files, restrictions, and plat designs provided. The role requires reliability, hard work, and a self-starter attitude. You would be joining an energetic team environment in our growing San Antonio office with potential for development and growth. Responsibilities
Produce drawings derived from specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches using AutoCAD or other CAD software. Coordinate and consult with engineers or designers to complete projects. Follow written directions for house placement, dimensioning, and labeling using architecture files, restrictions, and plat designs. Maintain reliability, organization, and time management to meet tight deadlines and multiple projects. Qualifications
Associates degree or technical college training certificate in CAD, or at least 2 years of proven CAD Designer experience. Previous structural design experience is a plus (e.g., architecture and construction). Previous construction surveying drafting experience is strongly preferred. Proficient in AutoCAD. Strong writing/grammar skills. Demonstrated strong organization and time management, including the ability to multi-task and run multiple projects concurrently. Willingness to work overtime. Possesses leadership skills and a teamwork attitude. Punctual, polite, and professional manner required. Detail oriented. Eligible to work in the United States. Benefits
