Marketing Coordinator
to help shape and grow the restaurant’s brand presence, customer engagement, and community awareness.
This role is ideal for an early-career marketing professional who is excited to bring fresh ideas, execute campaigns, and build meaningful connections through social media, promotions, and local outreach. This position supports the development and execution of marketing initiatives that strengthen brand recognition, drive sales, and reinforce La Cocina’s identity within the community.
This position is located in Shafter, CA and requires on-site work from Monday to Friday.
Job Description Brand & Creative Marketing
Support the development and execution of La Cocina’s brand identity, tone, and visual theme
Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
Assist with basic creative assets such as captions, flyers, signage, and promotional materials
Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and touchpoints
Social Media & Digital Marketing
Assist with planning, creating, and scheduling social media content
Monitor engagement, trends, and audience feedback
Support social media campaigns that promote menu items, events, and promotions
Stay current on food, restaurant, and social media trends
Marketing Campaigns & Promotions
Help implement marketing strategies aligned with business goals
Coordinate promotions, limited‑time offers, and in‑store marketing efforts
Track campaign performance and provide basic reporting and insights
Work within a provided marketing budget and follow spending guidelines
Community Outreach & Events
Assist with planning and coordinating community outreach efforts
Support promotional events, tastings, partnerships, and on‑site activations
Represent La Cocina in a professional and brand‑appropriate manner at events
Help build relationships with local organizations and community partners
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with internal teams (operations, leadership, vendors)
Coordinate timelines, approvals, and deliverables
Assist with vendor communications related to marketing and advertising
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
Strong interest in branding, marketing, and the restaurant or food industry
Basic understanding of marketing principles and social media platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Some hands‑on experience implementing marketing or social media strategies
Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, basic photo/video editing)
Experience assisting with events, promotions, or community outreach
Comfort tracking expenses and working within a defined budget
Pay Range: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
