Own full P&L performance of the individual subscription business, including acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Develop and execute a clear, forward-looking growth strategy grounded in subscription economics. Identify and launch bold, creative initiatives that materially accelerate subscriber growth. Lead experimentation across pricing, packaging, onboarding, and engagement models. Acquisition & Lifecycle Strategy Oversee acquisition across organic, paid, partnerships, editorial channels, and product-led growth. Build a sophisticated retention and lifecycle marketing function focused on habit formation and long-term loyalty. Elevate newsletter-driven growth strategies and audience development initiatives. Optimize conversion funnels while maintaining premium brand positioning. Analytics & Performance Management Establish rigorous growth forecasting and measurement frameworks. Develop actionable insights that explain performance drivers, not just surface metrics. Balance data-informed decision-making with strong executive judgment. Prioritize investments based on impact, efficiency, and strategic alignment. Ideal Candidate Profile Deep experience leading subscription growth within digital media. Strong understanding of newsletter-driven audience development and engagement models. Proven ability to scale paid and organic acquisition programs. Experience managing and developing mid-sized teams. Creative thinker who brings big ideas alongside operational rigor. Strategic yet scrappy — comfortable building, testing, and iterating quickly. High-energy leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments. Based in or willing to be in New York City three days per week.
