
Position Title: Lead Carpenter
The Lead Carpenter plays a vital role in delivering high-quality carpentry work while also supervising the efforts of other carpenters and subcontractors on various job sites. This position requires a hands-on approach, as the Lead Carpenter will engage in physical construction tasks, including boarding and installing hardware. The individual must be adaptable, willing to travel for projects, and capable of managing high-end residential clients with patience and professionalism. Lead Carpenter Responsibilities
Perform hands-on carpentry tasks, including the installation of doors, windows, and trim
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on assigned tasks
Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
Document mileage and expenses as required
Provide and maintain personal tools, requesting replacements as necessary
Lead Carpenter Requirements
Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a driving safety course
Ability and willingness to work hands‑on as needed
Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
Commitment to maintaining clean and organized job sites
A Carpentry background
Broad residential construction knowledge across trades is preferred
Prior superintendent/site supervision experience on custom residential projects is preferred
Education is preferred
Tool ownership is preferred
