
Office of Rural Health Transformation – Communications Specialist
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota. This position is located at the North Dakota State Capitol in Bismarck. The candidate selected must reside in the Bismarck/Mandan region or be willing to relocate to the area.
Tell the story of the state's health transformation as a ND Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Communications Specialist. On a daily basis, design and implement materials that engage the public, stakeholders and consumers in the Rural Health Transformation. Write and manage content for a variety of communications channels, including websites, stakeholder updates, social and legacy media. Collaborate with a team of communications professionals and program leaders to do this work.
To be successful in this position, you should be able to write skillfully for many different mediums and audiences, including the people the agency serves, the media, social media and internal team members. You are a team player, proactive, solutions/improvement oriented and customer focused.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree and one to three (1-3) years of professional experience. Experience with Adobe and/or media relations is a plus.
Funding of Position: This position is funded by a federal grant. If grant dollars do not exist, the continuation of the role will need to be reviewed.
Responsibilities
Design and implement materials to engage the public, stakeholders and consumers as part of the Rural Health Transformation.
Write and manage content for multiple channels, including websites, stakeholder updates, social media and legacy media.
Collaborate with a team of communications professionals and program leaders.
Prepare content suitable for diverse audiences, including the public, media and internal teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
1-3 years of professional experience.
Experience with Adobe products and/or media relations is a plus.
