Position Overview The K–12 Intervention Specialist at the high school will provide targeted support for students with disabilities and other identified learning needs. The specialist will work collaboratively with teachers, families, and administrators to implement individualized instruction and interventions in alignment with student IEPs, district goals, and state requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct instruction and intervention services to students with disabilities and those requiring additional academic support.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff.
Provide consultation and support to general education teachers regarding accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.
Track and analyze student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure growth.
Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal and state regulations regarding special education.
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school‑wide initiatives to support student success.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (K–12).
Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
Strong understanding of evidence‑based interventions and strategies for students with diverse learning needs.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Experience with data‑driven instruction and progress monitoring preferred.
Compensation Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience, aligned with the district's salary schedule.
