Job Summary Associate Director of Individual Services
Department: SAAS UHS Healthy Carolina

Job Responsibilities Are you an experienced leader in health services? Are you a strategic planner and leader when it comes to health programming?
This role provides strategic leadership to support student success through evidence‑based individual, interpersonal and institutional strategies, including Wellness Coaching, BASICS, and Gamecock Recovery.
Primary Duties Include
Oversee individual health education efforts, including Wellness Coaching, BASICS, and recovery coaching.
Oversee Gamecock Recovery program.
Provide leadership and supervision to student and professional staff.
Manage, report, and publicize Student Well‑being’s progress toward the achievement of unit, divisional, and university objectives.
Conduct assessment of services, utilization and facilitators to ensure effectiveness.
Work closely with the department and leadership to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with university, division, department, and unit priorities.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge and ability to apply relevant theories and research, including modern health education, motivational interviewing, and coaching practices and theories.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Intermediate desktop publishing, word processing and spreadsheet skills necessary.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications Classified and Unclassified positions.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and 5 years experience in well‑being management.
Experience with collegiate recovery initiatives.
