Akkodis is seeking Contract Specialist to support our client\'s team on a contract basis. The Contract Specialist will play a critical role in preparing, tailoring, and submitting regulatory agreements and amendments across a multi-state footprint. This position ensures all contract filings meet compliance standards while maintaining clear and timely communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders. In addition, the role oversees high-volume operational mailboxes that support technical connectivity requests and meet-point coordination. The specialist acts as a primary point of contact for customers seeking circuit details, routing information, and connectivity support, helping ensure efficient and accurate delivery of the service. Rate Range
$50/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, and other factors. Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in contract administration, telecom operations, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of professional experience and education. Background in telecommunications, customer support, service delivery, or technical operations. Familiarity with circuit provisioning, CLLI structure, and operational mailbox workflows. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and high document volumes. Experience using Contract Management Applications or similar database systems. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing large document sets. Clear and effective communication abilities for both customer-facing and internal interactions. Working knowledge of LSR processes, XML gateways, and wholesale telecom operations. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and guide stakeholders through connectivity or ordering challenges. Proven capability to manage high-volume workloads in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities
Support the organization’s regulatory strategy by coordinating agreement preparation, updates, and filings. Communicate directly with state and federal regulatory bodies to respond to inquiries and requests. Conduct research to gather and consolidate regulatory information, providing summarized insights for leadership. Monitor ongoing regulatory activities, including proceedings and complaints, and assess potential impacts on company operations. Recommend actions or company positions on regulatory matters. Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned regulatory topics or jurisdictions. Track legislative and regulatory developments that could affect the business, identifying potential risks or requirements. Manage a high-volume ILEC meet-point mailbox, processing several hundred circuit-related inquiries monthly. Provide customers with meet-point information, perform redesign analysis, and assist in establishing new meet-points. Operate the XML mailbox to support requests related to Local Service Request (LSR) XML gateway setup or updates.
