
Position Title:
Junior Intake Specialist
Junior Intake Specialist plays a crucial role in the legal team, focusing on family law and employment law matters. This position involves conducting initial intake calls, gathering essential information, and assessing potential client fit. Salary Range:
$22.00 - $30.00 / Hour DOE
Responsibilities
Conduct initial intake calls for family law and employment law matters
Gather detailed factual information and identify key legal issues
Assess urgency, professionalism, and potential fit with firm criteria
Provide clear information regarding the consultation process and fee structures
Document thorough intake notes in the case management system
Schedule consultations and coordinate calendars
Follow up with prospective clients as appropriate
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Requirements
Most recent work experience must be as a legal intake specialist
Minimum 1 year of experience in a legal intake, legal assistant, or paralegal role
No employment gaps in the last 3 years
Native English speaker
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm in high‑conflict conversations
Ability to discuss legal fees confidently and clearly
Proficient with CRM or case management systems
Experience in family law and/or employment law is preferred
Experience with high-net-worth clients ($300-500K+) is preferred
Familiarity with MyCase, RingCentral, or similar systems is preferred
Experience screening high-conflict or emotionally charged matters is preferred
A bachelor’s degree or a paralegal certificate is preferred
Chinese or Mandarin speaking is preferred
