About Our Client

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established construction organization in the Austin area to hire a Benefits Specialist. This role will support a growing workforce and play a key part in administering and enhancing employee benefits programs.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day benefits administration and serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit programs.

Work closely with HR leadership, payroll, and external vendors to ensure accurate processing, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.

Manage employee enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life event updates.

Coordinate and support annual open enrollment, including employee communications and system updates.

Partner with benefits brokers and carriers to resolve claims and eligibility issues.

Reconcile monthly carrier invoices and ensure accurate payroll deductions.

Maintain benefit data within the HRIS system and perform routine audits for accuracy.

Support compliance efforts related to COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, and Section 125 plans.

Respond to employee questions regarding coverage, claims, and plan options.

Assist in developing and distributing benefits-related materials and resources.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR with a strong benefits focus

Working knowledge of group health and retirement plans

Familiarity with federal and state benefits regulations

Experience with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
