
Halfdays is looking for a Retention Marketing Strategist to help drive customer loyalty, repeat purchase, and lifetime value through thoughtful, well‑executed email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing. This role sits on the Digital team and works closely with creative and brand to deliver high‑quality campaigns and automated programs that support both revenue growth.

What You’ll Do Email & SMS Execution + Acquisition
Build, QA, and schedule email and SMS campaigns (promotions, launches, brand stories, etc.)
Create and support ongoing lifecycle flows (welcome, post‑purchase, replenishment, win‑back, loyalty, etc.)
Ensure all campaigns are on‑brand, error‑free, and delivered on time
Own list growth strategy and execution, including pop‑ups, on‑site acquisition optimization, landing pages, lead generation, and support for partnerships and giveaways
Performance & Reporting
Track and report on key retention KPIs (revenue, conversion, open rate, CTR, unsubscribes, LTV, repeat rate)
Help identify insights and optimization opportunities
Develop and support A/B testing efforts across subject lines, content, timing, and segmentation
Ecommerce Support
Assist with segmentation strategies for new vs. returning customers, product categories, and engagement levels
Support loyalty program initiatives and retention experiments as the program evolves
Explore, identify, and propose new retention tactics and programs to improve repeat purchase and customer lifetime value (e.g., loyalty initiatives, referral programs, surprise & delight, post‑purchase experiences, subscription or replenishment concepts, etc.)
Support the brand’s direct mail initiatives, including campaign coordination, audience selection, timeline management, creative briefing, and performance tracking
What We’re Looking For
2 years of experience in digital marketing, retention, CRM, or e‑commerce (internships count)
Interest in email/SMS marketing and lifecycle strategy
Strong attention to detail and organization
Analytical mindset and comfort working with performance metrics
Clear written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast‑moving environment
Experience with platforms like Klaviyo, Shopify, or similar ESPs
