Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Director, Business Operations with deep expertise in life sciences and a consulting background from a top-tier life science consulting firm. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in medicine, biology, or a related science, enabling them to bridge technical depth with commercial acumen.

In this role, you will work with senior leadership to create high-impact business materials to support our health system business development efforts. This would include partnership proposals, presentation decks, internal strategy decks, and other business development required materials.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of science, business, and strategic support within an innovation-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Development & Strategic Narratives

• Develop and refine core business development materials, including pitch decks, opportunity briefs, executive summaries, and partnership proposals.
• Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, persuasive narratives tailored to external and internal stakeholders including clinical and administrative leadership at academic medical centers and health systems.
• Create internal BD strategy documents and cross-functional communication tools that drive alignment and informed decision-making.

Organizational Growth & Process Building

• Establish scalable business development processes, KPIs, and decision-making frameworks to support rapid company growth.

Required Qualifications:

• Healthcare consulting background at the engagement manager level (or equivalent) or higher at a top-tier healthcare consulting firm (e.g., ClearView, BCG, L.E.K., McKinsey, Blue Matter, DeciBio, Putnam Associates) with proven experience advising health systems, hospitals, academic medical centers or biopharma clients on operations, strategy, and commercialization.
• 5+ years of combined experience in consulting, strategy, and/or business development within the life sciences sector.
• Demonstrated ability to craft polished and ready-to-ship business development materials (partnership proposals, pitch decks, business term sheets, and other required documents) with quick turnaround times.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in fast paced environments, and adjust plans and strategies as situations evolve.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree preferred (MD, PhD, or MSc) in a life sciences discipline (biology, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacology, molecular biology, etc.).
• Previous start up experience at a health system, academic medical center, biotech, pharma, or life sciences platform company in BD, corporate strategy, or commercial strategy.
