Director of Finance

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director, Finance to oversee critical financial operations, including accounts receivable (A/R) management, cash flow forecasting, fundraising support, and financial relationship management. This role will own the full A/R lifecycle—covering invoicing, collections, and aging analysis—while developing dynamic, scenario-based cash flow models to guide both short- and long-term liquidity planning.

The Director, Finance will partner closely with leadership to prepare investor-facing materials, support fundraising initiatives, and manage banking and lending relationships. The position requires a rare combination of operational rigor, strategic foresight, and strong communication skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable (A/R) Management

• Lead the end-to-end A/R process, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and aging reports.
• Optimize cash in & outflows through proactive follow-up and dispute resolution with vendors and partners.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to refine billing cycles, payment terms, and client onboarding procedures.

Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity Planning

• Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow models across multiple business scenarios.
• Monitor real-time operating cash position and advise leadership on working capital needs.
• Integrate A/R, A/P, and payroll data into dynamic liquidity planning tools.
• Create and maintain investor presentations, financial exhibits, and data room materials in partnership with the executive team.
• Conduct financial analysis and scenario planning to inform fundraising strategies and capital allocation decisions.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and advisors on equity and debt financing rounds.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or FP&A, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment.
• Proven expertise in cash flow modeling and A/R operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
• Prior startup experience managing debt facilities, investor due diligence, or board financial updates

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms.
