
Product Development Director - Refrigeration

Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven Director of Product Development to lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of our product development initiatives. This senior-level leader will oversee cross-functional teams to bring world-class products to market, aligning development efforts with company goals and customer needs. The ideal candidate is both a visionary and a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall product development strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product development team, including product managers, designers, and engineers (depending on org structure).
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement across the product lifecycle.
- Oversee the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
- Manage product portfolios, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Implement best practices for agile product development, ensuring high quality and speed to market.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and success.
- Present product strategies and updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain open communication channels across teams and promote a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Drive user-centric product development based on market research, user feedback, competitive analysis, and business data.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to inform strategy.
Qualifications
- Refrigeration, industrial chiller and/or critical HVAC systems experience required!
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products in a relevant industry.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
