Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven Director of Product Development to lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of our product development initiatives. This senior-level leader will oversee cross-functional teams to bring world-class products to market, aligning development efforts with company goals and customer needs. The ideal candidate is both a visionary and a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall product development strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product development team, including product managers, designers, and engineers (depending on org structure).
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement across the product lifecycle.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Manage product portfolios, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Implement best practices for agile product development, ensuring high quality and speed to market.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and success.
  • Present product strategies and updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain open communication channels across teams and promote a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Drive user-centric product development based on market research, user feedback, competitive analysis, and business data.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to inform strategy.

Qualifications

  • High horsepower(HP) Generator and large-scale power experience required!
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in product development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products in a relevant industry.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
