
Overview
A well-capitalized, privately held real estate investment and development platform is seeking a Capital Markets Director to lead equity sourcing, lender relationships, and investor management across a growing portfolio of middle-market commercial transactions. This can be a high-impact leadership opportunity with direct influence on the firm's capital strategy. The role reports to senior leadership and owns the full capital formation and relationship management function across 4-5 deals annually.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic capital markets efforts for transactions ranging from approximately $50M to $110M
- Drive equity sourcing, investor prospecting, and management of existing partner relationships
- Oversee lender engagement, structuring non-recourse financing packages with regional and national institutions
- Direct the creation of investment materials, financial analyses, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing equity partners and a diversified lender network
- Partner closely with acquisitions and development teams to align capital solutions with project underwriting
- Represent the firm at meetings, site visits, and investor-facing relationship environments
Profile / Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in real estate capital markets, investment management, or related financial leadership roles
- Demonstrated success raising equity and structuring debt for commercial real estate transactions
- Strong command of underwriting, financial modeling, deal presentation, and partner communications
- Experience managing lender and investor relationships across multiple simultaneous deals
- Highly polished communication and relationship-driven leadership style
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced development environment
- The ideal candidate will have specific equity relationships in the multifamily / residential sector
