Director of Front Office – Position Summary
Our guests’ memorable experiences begin with the Front Office. The Director of Front Office drives exceptional first impressions, overseeing registration, reservations, porter and concierge services, and ensuring seamless guest interactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coach the front office team to deliver memorable guest experiences and the warmest of welcomes
- Engage with guests to build personal relationships and remedy any complaints
- Conduct regular front office inspections to guarantee compelling first impressions
- Assist in budgeting and identify new revenue opportunities from walk‑ins and front desk upsells
- Train team members on PBX procedures and lead during emergencies or crises
- Report to the Director of Rooms and manage a diverse front desk team across multiple specialisms
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ Front Office or Guest Service experience, including management responsibilities
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 (annual, commensurate with experience and location). The range may be adjusted at management discretion. Bonus pay is also available.
