Salary: $73,957 – $93,062; commensurate with experience

Job Summary

The Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life works alongside the Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life to provide oversight of leadership development and programming for 24 fraternities and sororities associated with the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Panhellenic Council and the North American Interfraternity Conference. The focus is to advise, counsel, and mentor students; facilitate programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning. The Director coordinates and presents educational programs for the entire Greek system and individual chapters; maintains records and prepares reports on fraternity and sorority academic standing, housing occupancy and recruitment statistics; provides oversight for the Greek Row men’s fraternity house and liaises with Housing and Residential Life to support sororities housed on Greek Row; and works with Housing and Residential Life to achieve 100% occupancy in all Greek Row houses. The Director serves as a liaison between the university and individual chapters, advisors, and reports to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. The role also collaborates with designated staff in the Development Office to interface with and address concerns of fraternity and sorority alumni, and performs other related special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, counsel, and mentor students across multiple Greek organizations.
  • Facilitate programming in risk management, membership recruitment/intake, education, problem resolution, and community planning.
  • Coordinate and present educational programs for all Greek system chapters.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on academic standing, housing occupancy, and recruitment statistics.
  • Provide oversight for the Greek Row men’s fraternity house and liaise with Housing and Residential Life.
  • Work with Housing and Residential Life to achieve 100% occupancy in Greek Row houses.
  • Act as liaison between the university and individual chapters, advisors, and alumni.
  • Report to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs.
  • Collaborate with Development Office staff on alumni concerns and special projects.

Education and Experience

  • Required Education: Master’s degree (required by time of appointment).
  • Required Related Experience: At least three years of professional experience in Student Affairs or a related field. At least one of those years must be in fraternity and/or sorority life on a college campus or at a national fraternity or sorority headquarters.
  • Desirable Related Experience: Oversight of a fraternity/sorority life program at a college or university; experience in program and event management; membership in a fraternity or sorority.
